As a freshman in college, Marissa Abdo, MS, RN, CANS, found her calling while working the front desk at a plastic surgeon’s office. “I remember watching him inject one of his nurses with Botox and seeing her results and just knew I wanted to be in an industry where I could make people feel good,” she says. From that moment on, she has worked to help people love their reflection.
As a top national trainer for leading aesthetic companies Allergan and Galderma, Abdo recently moved to Scottsdale from Los Angeles, where she spent over 10 years perfecting the art of facial injectables at a Beverly Hills practice, and opened her first exclusive medical aesthetic clinic, Aesthetic IQ Clinic. “Not only is training others my passion, but I feel it is a privilege and duty so we can elevate the aesthetics industry as a whole and deliver exceptional outcomes in a safe manner,” she says. Through her experience specializing in natural, safe, and impactful injectable treatments, she has learned how to cater her work to each client’s individual needs and anatomy, ensuring the best results possible. “Each patient requires a unique formula to ensure they always look natural and like themselves,” she says.
At Aesthetic IQ Clinic, patients will be able to receive chin filler, lip augmentation, tear trough filler, nonsurgical brow lift, nonsurgical neck lift, cheek and jaw augmentation, and other injectable treatments. With noninvasive technology and formulas including Botox, Dysport, Juvederm and Restylane dermal fillers, Sculptra Aesthetic and QWO, Abdo is looking forward to the future of her practice. “The industry is booming and I am so excited to see what is to come and deliver exceptional outcomes to my patients,” she says. “My favorite part about my job is watching my patients look in the mirror at the end of treatment and seeing a confident smile looking back and sometimes even a tear of joy because they finally feel like their true self is reflected to them.”
